More fun at the Drive Thru Zoo

Here are some more pics of the drive-thru zoo....

The Drive Thru Zoo

While we were in Ohio we took a day to go to the Wild African Drive Thru Zoo in Port Clintion, Ohio. It was so neat. You drove thru and the animals came up to the car and wanted to be fed. There was all sorts of animals, deer, buffalo, zebra, giraffes. I don't know what they all were. But it was a lot of fun and the kids loved it. Later on we got out and walked around the other part and Harrison enjoyed a pony ride and they both enjoyed the pig races.

Our trip to Ohio

The kids loved the farm life, I have a gazillion photos so it will be hard to just pick a few. Every morning Harrison and Madeline would wake up and want to feed the horses. He had to go say Hello to Daisy! (which he would tell you was his favorite, she is a pony) Madeline enjoyed all of them and sometimes I think Jake was her favorite. Harrison loved to feed and water them, but Madeline loved to touch and pet them. It wasn't until the last couple days that Harrison was willing to pet Daisy. So each morning they would go into the barn and go right to the hay and starting feeding the horses. Then they would help Grandma and Grandpa with the water buckets. However we never did get them in there to scoop poop, maybe next year. Every night they would go through the same process and say Good night to all the horses. Here's some pics.... with some more to follow later.....

Hanging out while on Vacation

Here's Harrison watching Ariel with Uncle Ralph. And the kids made some snowmen with cousin Amanda and her boyfriend Justin. I hardly break out the playdough at home because it makes such a mess. They were excited to play with it.

The Ducks

While visiting Great Grandma Sally the kids went down to the lake to look at the ducks. I took some really cute pictures and thought I would share. Madeline is saying where are the ducks. I just want to place one in her hand.

Chicago

We are finally home from vacation and what a great time we had. We started by flying out with Aunt Sandy on Tuesday and visiting our family in Chicago. Madeline didn't so much enjoy the 6 hour flight, but I think mostly because she couldn't have her own seat. Harrison enjoyed most of the flight, but I think he got bored. In Chicago, I had a night out and went scrapbooking with Grandma and my cousin Sheri. We made these cute books. The kids stayed home with the family. It was nice to be out without them, but I did have to call and check on them, but of course they were fine without their Mom. We went to the Brookfield Zoo. They were able to get their faces/arms painted, harrison got a giraffe on his arm made by Great Grandma. Harrison really liked the polar bear. But he also loved the rhino and hippo. I think Madeline's favorite was playing with her little cousin Grace. They were so cute. The two of them were chasing squirrels and chipmunks together and then Harrison and Emily joined in the fun. Harrison stole the hat off of Grandma's head and was trying it on.
