Our Garden

This year we have tried to plant a garden. We are learning a lot as we go and our garden is slowly producing food. Here is our first crop, peas! The kids enjoy helping Daddy water the plants every night (which often ends with Harrison and Madeline soaking wet) They enjoyed picking the peas and then opening them up.

Swinging!!!

We bought the kids a swing set this summer that has been a great investment because they love it. However everytime they are on it they are trying something new. Especially my dare devil daughter Madeline. She has taught her older friends and brother how to swing while standing on top of the swing and now she swings completely upside down and with no hands!!!! She loves it!

Benjamin Earl Roy

Benjamin arrived on June 17th about 3 weeks early. He weighed 6lbs 14 oz. And is 19 inces long. He spent 4 days in the NICU. His breathing was a little slow due to the early birth. But he is doing great with no problems. Everyone is in love. Harrison loves to hold his baby brother and will hold him for an hour if he can. Madeline loves to be a big helper. She enjoys getting him his binky and singing to him when he cries. From the moment we brought him home every time Benjamin cries she sings him "Rock a Bye Baby." Harrison and Madeline both love it when I give them the opportunity to give Benjamin a bottle. He is sleeping and eating rather well, but his awake time is generally in the middle of the night.

More Camping

Here are the rest of our camping pictures. Sandy joined us the day after we started, Mr. Brian went back to town so we had him call her to see if she wanted to join us!

Here is a picture of me and my belly!

Joshua, Madeline and Tim throwing sticks into the river and watching them float down.

Our morning cook, Tim!
Breakfast with their catepillar, Lumpy also on the table. The kids painted a sign for their camp.

Fishing

The kids went fishing while we were camping. We put a hook and worm on their poles and everything. (They had been before, but not with an actual hook on their poles) It entertained them for a shortwhile, but he didn't come close to catching anything.

Camping Memorial Weekend

We went camping on Memorial Weekend with several of our friends. We thought we better go because we didn't know how often we would go after baby brother is born. The kids absolutely love camping! I have a million pictures to post, but I thought I would start with our marshmallow adventures. When the sun is setting and it is time to start the campfire, it is the same time as the marshmallow trees and bushes start to blossom. So each night the kids and I would go out looking for marshmallows so we could have some to roast over the fire. They loved this and it was so much fun. It will be a tradition for years to come.
