My little farmer

Harrison is so into his tractors. When we drive anywhere we always point out every tractor, horse, cow or any animal. Madeline also loves to point out the tractors and say "tractor" in the sweetest voice several times until you acknowledge her and the tractor. Harrison can tell the difference between the combine and other tractors, which I probably couldn't do until I hit my 20's. So the other day we were driving, and I showed him the corn that was growing. He says to me "Mommy the combine will come and take the corn" I was shocked, he was right, but he hadn't learned it from me and my farming skills. I'm lucky I can show him corn. Then he sees the hay piled up in the fields, but he can't understand where the horses are and how come they aren't eating it yet. We had a pretty long conversation on that drive home. He then went on how his grandparents had horses and he wanted to go see them, and feed and ride their horses and see the tractors. He then wanted to go right that minute. When we told him he had to go on an airplane to see them, he looked out the window and showed us a plane that was in a landing patter. So then we told him we would need to pack for the trip and he says lets get our luggage. There was no winning this one with him he was ready to go.
Every person he sees with a cowboy hat he points to them and calls them a farmer. I bought Madeline this cute straw hat for one of her outfits and he always calls it her farmer hat. So the other day I ran into the store to buy Madeline a hat while the kids and Tim sat in the car. Harrison asked Tim where I went and he told him to get a hat. He was all excited and asked if it was a farmer hat, when Tim told him no, he so "oh just a Maddie hat"

In the backyard he has tractor that is motorized. He is always driving it around. It has a wagon in the back, one day Tim was picking weeds and Harrison would pick them up and put them in the back. He calls it his hay. When Daddy empties the hay wagon, he requests we pick more weeds so he can have hay in his wagon. Here is an old picture of the tractor.

Matching shirts

I found these shirts at two different stores, but I had to buy them because I love to match the kids. Harrison loves it too, he tells me Mom I look like Maddie. If i put on something on Maddie that will match Harrison, he always tells me he needs to wear it. He also likes to match with his Daddy.

As always Harrison loves to ride the horses.

Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party on July 6th. The kids love putting the coins in the machine to make them go. Madeline was taking her dolly with her everywhere. Then we caught her kissing Bob the Builder. (I'm in trouble because we were at McDonalds yesterday and she was kissing Ronald also!)

A trip to Discovery Kingdom

The kids and I went to Discovery Kingdom with my sister Sandy. It was a blast. Harrison and Madeline love it. We went once in May with Daddy and they would go back everyday if they could. Harrison fed the sea lions, and Madeline fed the Giraffes. (harrison was a bit afraid of them, although he loves them) They both rode the elephant. We had to keep them awake in the line as they were trying to fall asleep. Our last trip to the park, Daddy told Harrison in passing that the butterflies from the butterfly enclosure were going to get his ears, so as soon as we walked in the first thing he did was put his hands over his ears and he walked the whole way with his hands over his ears until we left the building. We rode some rides. Madeline was adorable on the froggy ride everytime it went up and down she would say she had an owie and point to her belly, but it was just the motion of the ride tickeling her belly. When it stopped she would beg for more. We ended the day by letting the kids play in the water. Overall is was a great day.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July this year. The kids started if off by participating in a parade in the morning. They got very excited the night before while they were decorating their wagon for the parade. They loved the parade! We have a three person wagon. Harrison always sits in the front and Madeline sits in the little wagon behind the big wagon. Later in the evening we had a bar-b-que and friends over for a fireworks show. It was a nice relaxing evening. Madeline was scared of the fireworks, but wanted to watch from the window. Harrison made it through the show, but did not like the ones that were loud.
