Will you be my teddy bear?

Harrison asked Madeline if she wanted to be his teddy bear? So Madeline went and sat on his lap for several minutes. They both were so delighted!! They really are the best of friends.

Sticker Pox

One night I advised the kids it was time for bed, suddenly Daddy came down with the sticker pox. We weren't quite sure the cause of it or how contagious it was, but we soon learn then it could spread rather quickly.

Notice in this picture Madeline still unaffected by the sticker pox giving comfort to her Daddy, she will still love him regardless.

Although we didn't notice with Tim the sticker pox apparently start on the feet.

Here the sticker pox started on the feet and quickly spread to the face.

Thankfully, they didn't last long. However bedtime was delayed by quite awhile. I guess it was a side effect of the sticker pox.

Christmas 2008

Christmas was a ton of fun this year. Harrison and Madeline were both afraid of Santa so we did not go see him. Harrison at one point told me he did not want anything because he did not want to talk to Santa. (We were no where near Santa, and just relaxing at home) I told him Mommy would let talk to Santa for him, and this made him much happier. He wanted me to tell Santa he wanted some toys. The night before we left out cookies and carrots, for Santa and the Reigndeer. Harrison and Madeline thought it was best if they were left outside. In the morning they woke up slowly, until I finally convinced Harrison to come look with Mommy downstairs and we did and then everything was very exciting for them. We spent the rest of the day at Grandma and Grandpa's were the whole family gathered and we enjoyed homemade raviolis!

In the middle of present opening Harrison wanted to check to see if the reighdeer ate their food. (He also insisted later that day that we leave more food out for the reighdeer, luckily they came back a second night for their treats)

Tim and I talked about getting Harrison a cattle truck for Christmas, but couldn't find one. This is the first thing Harrison did with this truck that he got. (How many 3 year old know about cattle trucks??)

A day at the park with Daddy

We took the kids to the park on a beautiful day in the middle of December. I got to play with my new camera Tim got me for my birthday. Here are some of the pics:

Madeline was practicing her wink

Harrison telling me no more photos!

Tim looks to be having tons of fun in this one!

Madeline's thinking tongue is out on this one.

And my overall favorite photos, I told the kids to hug and this is what I got:

By far Harrison's favorite part in decorating our tree was the styrofoam he found that he could tear into little pieces and drive his mother crazy. But he had tons of fun doing it, and he would get out his tools and use the saw to break it up.

Tim put together our John Deere train, he had lots of help from both kids, but Harrison managed to elude most the pictures.

I like how Madeline is looking up to her Daddy in this one..

Here is our Christmas tree, the is the best shot I got of it and it's not even decorated. We are just putting on the lights.

One of our favorite hot spots in town is the McDonalds indoor play area. Madeline had her dolly and they were doing everything together.

Our friends Brian and Kim had a great idea this year that a bunch of us should get together and go chop down our own Christmas tree. It really was a lot of fun, I think there was about 5 different familes that went up to the mountains. Of course we all met in the morning, but good old us, were at least a half hour late because I wasn't feeling well, what I thought was just morning sickness was actually the good ole flu and by the time we got home my fever was 104. Our tree was awesome and lasted the whole month. Best part it only cost $10 for a real tree. I don't have actual pictures of the tree because I ended up in the truck, but it was very nice.

Another day in Sacramento our friends Joshua and Kim went with us to the train museum. Joshua is a hugh train enthusiast! And my kids loved it almost just as much.

talking to the conductors...

They can play upstairs with trains forever...

We had a tour of the fire deptartment with our school. Unfortunately I didn't get very many good photos. But my son is very aware that when the smoke alarm goes off that we need to go outside, even when its freezing outside and mom doesn't really want to we go out until Dad checks the house. Which has taught me to not burn our food as often.
