Gardening .01!

I blogged about our garden earlier in the summer, when we picked our peas. Well we finally decided to pick the rest of our crops from our Garden. It was a great learning experience, but thankfully no one expects to live off of our garden as the size of our crops was not exactly hugh.

My beautiful children.

Earlier in the day we went to the pumpkin farm where we bought the hugh pumkin. The guys there used a tractor to bring it to our car, the kids enjoyed picking it and watching the tractor bring it to the car. Hence the idea to bring our pumkins to the front.

Happy Birthday Harrison and Madeline!

My sweet babies turned 4 and 3! As I always say I can't believe how fast they are growing up. They had been talking about having a pirate and princess party for at least six months so that is what we did!! Madeline loves princesses almost as much as she loves horses. Everyone dressed like a pirate or princess. We had a treasure hunt, that was lead by none other that a pirate, and along the treasure hunt another pirate(our friend Mr. Brian) jumped out and there was a sword fight. I wish I could say it was all my idea, but really my friend Kim thought up most of it and she even made a treasure box for the end of the hunt. Everyone loved it! My sister, Sandy made two awesome cakes for the kids. It was a great day for all.

The last year has been amazing, Harrison and Madeline are the best of friends, they do everything together. Just like when we first brought Madeline home, Harrison still looks for her as soon as he wakes up and visa-versa when Madeline wakes up first. It has been a joy to watch them grow and learn new things every day. I literally think I am the luckiest Mom in the world to have two such wonderful kids. They are both just so thoughtful and caring people, that they amaze me every day. Harrison is very creative and loves learning. He loves to create projects and has a hugh imagination. He has been talking about creating a project in the backyard for weeks now, where he wants to make a ride across the yard and build it so everyone in the family can ride. And it needs to have triangle windows. He is going to start with a rope from the swingset to the house. Harrison always wants everyone to be happy, always saying things like "we can all play together, or why don't we share" Madeline loves animals with a passion. From a lizard, a frog, pig, sheep to horses and kitties, she loves them. She loves to look at them, to pet them, hold them or ride them. She is a lover of all. When her brother won't hold it, she will be the first one picking it up, and Harrison knows this and sends her in to pick up the animals. She loves to take care of her little brother and always making sure he is comfortable, weather if he needs a binky, or turning on his music, singing him a song or fixing his blanket, she is always there for him. They both love to dress up. Harrison very proudly enjoys being a cowboy and even has a song about it. "My Harrison is a cowboy, a cowboy, he always goes like this "Yeehaw"" Madeline loves to be a cowgirl or also to wear her princess outfits. Her song is "My Madeline is a princess, a princess, she always goes like this Princess motion's, however this has changed as of late to she is a cowgirl, a cowgirl, she always goes like this Yeehaw" They sing this song almost everyday and yes they have a verse for pretty much anyone they know, including those near and far from us.

Benjamin's Smile

Benjamin is consitently smiling at us now. It is absolutely adorable. He is starting to become more active. He notices things around him more and interacts with his ever loving brother and sister. They still can't keep their hands off of him (especially when he is sleeping) It is really wonderful how much they love their little brother.

Rub a dub dub two kids in the tub!

The kids insisted they needed an umbrella in the shower the other day. I think it defeated the purpose but they had a great time!

Karate!!

I have enrolled Harrison in a Karate class. I thought he would enjoy having something special to do since Madeline has her gymnastics. He seems to really enjoy when he is there his face really lights up. It is really cute. Here are some pictures...
