Snow day with friends

Before we got all the rain these past two weeks.  We went up to the snow with some friends, I wasn't sure we were going to find some, but in end we did! It was a nice sunny day.  The snow was hard, so it wasn't good for snowman making but we still found many uses for it.  I enjoyed sledding with Madeline, while Tim worked on building a snow fort to protect him from the random snowballs flying his way (which I know nothing about)  Our good friends the Mireles' joined us in our fun.  Harrison loves to use his kids snow shovel to build and Madeline started making snow angels without any prompting.  I used to love to make snow angels and had not even thought about it this trip until Madeline started to make them.  Benjamin enjoyed a day by himself with Grandma and Grandpa all to himself.

Tim and Tammy

Before we had kids we used to have our picture taken together everywhere. I would stop and ask strangers everywhere to take a picture of the two of us. Since our children have come along we rarely got a shot of just the two of us, which is fine because I love taking pictures of the kids.  But I thought I would share a picture of us enjoying a day at the snow.

Benjamin and Daddy

Harrison

We enjoyed a day at the park last weekend.  My son will no longer pose for a picture.  So when he was hiding from everyone near a tree, I chased him with my camera and got some great snaps of him.  They couldn't have turned out better if I had asked him to pose.

Christmas 2009

I don't think I shared with you a picture of our Christmas tree this year.  We went again to cut it down with our friends up in the mountains.  The tree was inches from our ceiling, I loved it, it was beautiful.  The best part it cost an entire $10 for the permit.  It was a once in a lifetime tree.  I don't know if Tim will let me get another one that big.  We were lucky our friends had a trailer to bring it home in.  The kids enjoyed climing the ladder to decorate it.  But we never actually ended up decorating the tip top of the tree!

Madeline is busy decorating the tree

My mom made outfits for all of her grandkids this year, so we took some time on Christmas Day to get some cute photos.

December

December was a busy month for us.  Benjamin turned six months old! He now weights 13lb 3 oz and is 25 inches tall.  Still in the 3% for his weight and 25% for his height!  He absolutely loves his brother and sister and is always watching them.  They both have a knack for waking him when he has fallen asleep.  Tim and I both had our birthdays to celebrate and then we also enjoyed one wonderful Christmas together.  This was the year that Harrison and Madeline really knew what was coming and it was so much fun to watch them be so excited!!  They all even sat with Santa Claus this year of course with Mommy right next to them.  And Harrison is starting to talk about God, we explained to them that Christmas was the day that Jesus was born and why we celebrate Christmas, but he has also had his cousin teaching him.  Unfortunately our gold fish died on Christmas day, and there are no fish stores open on Christmas day, so the kids noticed right away.  Well Harrison was okay with that because he wanted Daddy to take the fish to God and he would make him alive again. Daddy wasn't ready to visit God just yet.  Then Harrison goes on to explain how Jesus was killed then at Easter God made him alive again.  Well its hard to argue with a 4 year old when he knows it all since his 6 year old cousin has told him.  Finally Harrison and Madeline settled with letting daddy put him in the dirt just as long as he did not put him down the toilet.  It really was very cute!
